‘Landscape and Imagination: from gardens to land art’.
In celebration of Compton Verney’s 20th anniversary the paintings in this exhibition explore the relationship between art, gardens and landscape through the eyes of JMW Turner, Nicolas Poussin, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, David Nash and others.
Also there is a new exhibition, ‘A Spirit Inside’ drawn from two of the UK’s leading art collections, the Women’s Art Collection and The Ingram Collection. It features a range of artists from historic greats to important contemporaries such as Leonora Carrington, Winifred Nicholson, Bridget Riley among others.
Itinerary:
- 9.15am: Coach leaves Christchurch Road
- 10.30 - 11am: Coffee and biscuits
- 11.15am : First group tour of ‘Landscape and Imagination’
- 12 - 12.45pm : Second group tour
- 4pm: Coach departs for Northampton
